What is the RSAC Academy?
The RSAC Academy is the general membership body of the Rhythm Skating Academy & Commission. Academy members support the advancement of rhythm skating and participate in RSAC’s community, education, and organizational initiatives.
Who is this membership for?
The RSAC Academy is open to:

Rhythm skaters of all styles and levels

Instructors and coaches

DJs, event organizers, and creators

Historians, photographers, videographers

Supporters of rhythm skating culture
If you care about the future of rhythm skating, this membership is for you.
How much does membership cost?
Commission Membership is FREE, but benefits are limited.
Academy Membership is $50 per year, billed annually as a recurring subscription.
What does my membership support?
Your dues help support:

Educational programming and resources

Cultural documentation and preservation

Community initiatives and convenings

RSAC operations and infrastructure
Membership allows RSAC to build sustainably and intentionally.
What benefits do Academy Members receive?
Academy members may receive:

Voting rights on designated Academy matters

Early or priority access to RSAC programs and events

Access to member-only educational content
Benefits will expand as RSAC grows.
Does this make me part of the RSAC leadership?
Academy membership does not automatically place members on the RSAC Commission.
The Commission serves as RSAC’s governing leadership, while the Academy represents the broader membership body.
Academy members may, however, serve on committees and contribute to RSAC initiatives.
Community members can receive special updates and network, but cannot serve on committees, attend official meetings, or vote.
Can I cancel my membership at any time?
Yes. Memberships can be canceled at any time through your account portal.
Access and benefits remain active through the end of fiscal year. RSAC does not issue refunds for partial years.
What does “good standing” mean?
Members are considered in good standing when:

Monthly dues are current

RSAC’s Code of Conduct is upheld
Members not in good standing may temporarily lose access to certain benefits, such as voting or committee participation.
Are there any expectations of members?
Yes. Members are expected to:

Respect RSAC’s mission, values, and Code of Conduct

Engage constructively with the community

Represent RSAC responsibly when participating in RSAC-related activities
Is RSAC a nonprofit?
RSAC is currently organized as an LLC operating as an organization, with plans to pursue nonprofit status in the future. Membership dues support RSAC’s mission-driven work regardless of organizational structure.
How do I stay informed after joining?
Members will receive updates via email and RSAC’s official social media channels. Important announcements, opportunities, and initiatives will be shared directly with members.
